Led by stalwarts like the Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Blackfoot, Marshall Tucker, and in the later years - bands like the Black Crowes - the southern rock genre was once a staple of radio airplay. But over the past two decades, the only place where you really find any semblance of it is on SiriusXM's Outlaw Country radio. And sadly, there's some remarkable music being made that fits into that genre today that includes acts like Jason Isbell, the Drive-By Truckers and our guest this week - the amazing Chris Knight.
